Dr. Emily Turner

Dr. Turner has returned to the Warren County R-III School District starting in the 2020-2021 school year to serve as the Director of Early Childhood Special Education.  She previously worked in the district as a first grade teacher for four years at Daniel Boone Elementary, and next served as the assistant principal for three years in the same building (2005-2012).  

She then went on to serve as a building principal in the Ferguson-Florissant School District for four years before moving to North Carolina.  There Dr. Turner served as the Assessment Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Campbell University.  Most recently, after moving back to Missouri, she served as an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Special Education at William Woods University in Fulton, MO.  

Dr. Turner completed her Undergraduate degree at Maryville University in St. Louis in the area of Elementary Education.  She received her Masters degree from Missouri Baptist University in the area of Education Administration, and followed up with her Doctorate degree from Maryville University in the area of Educational Leadership.  Dr. Turner is certified in Elementary Education Grades 1-6, Special Education Mild / Moderate Cross Categorical Grades K-12, Principal Grades K-8, and Superintendent K-12.
